Sunday explosion in Kogi State,<\/a> Omofemi Oyehunwa has recounted her story, stating that God saved her life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Oyehunwa who owns the bar where the explosion happened was taken with the ten others to Kabba General Hospital where she received treatment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
She expressed concern over the attack, describing it as \u201cwicked and deadly.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cOnly God saved my life from the blast. \u201cI give thanks to God that I am not just alive but I can still walk despite the injury I sustained.<\/span><\/p>\n“I am grateful that nobody died in the blast\u201d, she said.<\/span><\/p>\nShe called on the government and the police, in particular, to ensure that the culprits are found, arrested and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to other criminal elements in the state.<\/span><\/p>\nThe management of the hospital confirmed receiving no fewer than 11 victims of the explosion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cShortly after the blast, 11 persons, including the owner of a beer parlour, were taken to this hospital for medical attention\u201d, Dr Ibrahim Sule, Head of the X-Ray Unit, told newsmen.<\/span><\/p>\nThe hospital management said the owner of the bar where the explosion occurred, Mrs Omofemi Oyehunwa, was taken to the X-Ray Unit.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cAs you can see, she is out of the X-Ray Unit, walking by herself, which shows that she\u2019s fast recovering from the injury she sustained on her buttocks,\u201d Dr Sule said.<\/span><\/p>\nMeanwhile, the President of Kabba Development Union, Mr Emmanuel Ajibero, who visited the scene of the blast and the bar owner in her hospital bed, decried the explosion<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cThis explosion that occurred the second time in this Kabba town in a space of 18 days is callous and unacceptable to us the citizens of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cWe want the government and the security agencies to rise to the occasion and do something drastic about these attacks and secure our lives and property from criminal elements,\u201d Ajibero pleaded.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"One of the 11 injured victims of Sunday explosion in Kogi State, Omofemi Oyehunwa has recounted her story,…\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[34],"class_list":{"0":"post-3333","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-news","7":"tag-kogi"},"yoast_head":"\n'Only God Saved My Life,' Injured Victim of Kogi Explosion Speaks\u00a0 - Ebira Reporters<\/title>\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\t \n\t \n\t \n
