The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo has lost the bid to represent Yagba West at the House of Representatives, as he was defeated in the Friday primary election of the All Progressives Congress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Fanwo, pitched as the anointed candidate of the State Governor, Yahaya Bello, lost the election to Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi with a slim margin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Olafemi polled 76 delegate votes, while the erstwhile Commissioner polled 72 votes.<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Kolawole Matthew emerged as the Reps candidate of the party for Kabba-Bunu\/Ijumu Federal Constituency.<\/span><\/p>\n Matthew defeated the State Security Adviser, Jerry Omodara, David Aiyedogbon, and Segun Olobatoke to pick the ticket.<\/span><\/p>\n Update:<\/span><\/p>\n In a last minute twist to the House of Representatives primary election of the All Progressives Congress in Yagba West, the electoral officer has declared six invalid votes against Folorunsho Olafemi who had the highest vote after votes were earlier counted.<\/span><\/a> By this development,\u00a0Kingsley Fanwo with 72 delegate vote<\/a>s has now been placed ahead of Olafemi who now has 70 after the invalid votes were deducted.<\/span><\/p>\n
