{"id":2862,"date":"2022-04-12T18:01:45","date_gmt":"2022-04-12T18:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=2862"},"modified":"2022-04-12T18:01:45","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T18:01:45","slug":"nscdc-arrests-13-suspects-for-abducting-18-year-old-girl-in-kogi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/nscdc-arrests-13-suspects-for-abducting-18-year-old-girl-in-kogi\/","title":{"rendered":"NSCDC Arrests 13 Suspects for Abducting 18 year-old Girl in Kogi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Kogi State Command has apprehended thirteen suspects for allegedly abducting an 18 years old girl in Kogi State.<\/span><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The suspects, nine males and four females were paraded on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The arrested suspects are, Mohammed Abdul aged (25), Mohammed Ibrahim, (24), Samuel Adesina, (23), Malik Mohammed, 24), Olatoyor Mathew, (26), Tenimu Abubakar, (25) and Shittu Ibrahim.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Other suspects paraded by the command were Momoh Friday,(22), Abdullah I I\u2019d rid, (21), Oluyomi Bisola Adesewa, (24), Mariam Mohammed, (22), Yakubu Neifisat, (25), and Samson Rosemary, (22).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2863\" src=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IMG_20220412_151557_494-1024x768-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Parading the suspects on Tuesday, the Kogi State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara told newsmen that, one Miss Elizabeth Ojo was reportedly kidnapped on the 10th of April 2022 by a syndicate led by one Godwin Daniel who is currently at large.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He said through intelligence gathering, his officers were able to uncover the hideout of the kidnappers and rescue the victim alive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;The suspects led by one Godwin Daniel, kidnapped Miss Elizabeth and took her to one hotel here in Lokoja the Kogi State capital. My officers through intelligent reports were able to track their location and arrested these 13 suspects. Their gang leader as I speak to you is currently on the run. We are going to apprehend him as soon as possible\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">According to Mafara, the suspects are still under investigation and would soon be charged to court.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He, however, appealed to parents to caution their wards from every act of crime and criminality, adding that, the public should report any suspicious character within their environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Items recovered from the suspects include hard drugs, including Indian hemp, charms, weapons, Honda car with registration number Kogi LKJ 137 BJK.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Meanwhile, the Kogi State Command of NSCDC has arrested one Mohammed Ibrahim who specializes in stealing building materials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Parading the suspects, the Kogi State NSCDC Commandant, Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara said the suspects confessed to using charms to disappear in a bid to carry out his nefarious activities,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The suspects upon interrogation by DAILY Post correspondent confessed to the crime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The suspects said\u201d I won\u2019t lie I have been stealing for several years since I lost my father when I was eight years of age. Things are hard so I must feed myself and my family. Please tell them to forgive me.
