{"id":2142,"date":"2021-12-29T11:45:53","date_gmt":"2021-12-29T11:45:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=2142"},"modified":"2021-12-29T11:45:53","modified_gmt":"2021-12-29T11:45:53","slug":"gov-bello-signs-2022-budget-into-law-says-corruption-is-at-zero-level-in-kogi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/gov-bello-signs-2022-budget-into-law-says-corruption-is-at-zero-level-in-kogi\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov Bello Signs 2022 Budget into Law, Says Corruption is at Zero Level in Kogi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Governor Yahaya Bello on Wednesday signed the state&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/2021\/10\/28\/gov-bello-presents-n145bn-2022-budget-to-house-of-assembly-tagged-budget-of-accelerated-results\/\">Budget of Accelerated Results for the year 2022<\/a> into law.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The budget is in the sum of one hundred and forty-five billion, eight hundred and ninety six million, seventy-two thousand, nine hundred and thirteen naira (N145,896,072,913).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">In his remarks after signing the budget into law, the Governor stated that his administration has tried to stem corruption to the barest minimum in the state, and assured of accountability.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;We will continue to guarantee zero corruption in Kogi State. Corruption will never lead us anywhere, we try our best to stem it to the barest minimum, if not at zero level in Kogi State. I want to assure you that we will continue to be transparent in our governance and financial dealings. We will continue to show high level of probity and accountability,&#8221; he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He said the administration would consolidate on economic, infrastructural and security development in year 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;We will continue to improve on our security because without security, there can&#8217;t be any meaningful economic development in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;As we all know, Kogi State still remains the best in terms of security.
