{"id":2108,"date":"2021-12-20T20:03:11","date_gmt":"2021-12-20T20:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=2108"},"modified":"2021-12-20T20:03:21","modified_gmt":"2021-12-20T20:03:21","slug":"police-rescue-two-kidnap-victims-arrest-two-cattle-rustlers-in-kogi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/police-rescue-two-kidnap-victims-arrest-two-cattle-rustlers-in-kogi\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Rescue Two Kidnap Victims, Arrest Two Cattle Rustlers in Kogi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">..<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, attached to the Ajaokuta Division have rescued two kidnap victims.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">This was contained in a statement; CZ:5300\/KGS\/PPRO\/VOL.T\/126 issued on Monday and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The statement signed by the state Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP William Aya, stated that the victims were rescued on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He noted in the statement, \u201cOn 18\/12\/2021 at about 1600hrs, following a tip-off that some armed hoodlums blocked the express road between NEPA and ASCOL bump inward Itobe shooting sporadically in order to scare motorist to carry out their nefarious crime.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">According to him, following the tip-off, the operatives promptly swung into action, raced to the scene and engaged the hoodlums while they all escaped to the bush, and in the process rescued two victims unhurt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He said that efforts are on for possible apprehension of the hoodlums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">In another development, the operatives attached to Enjema Division arrested the duo of Mohammed Alhaji and Amadu Sule Juji who specialise in rustling cattle within Enjema and its environs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He said that the arrest is a sequel to the complaint of 15 missing cows from Fulani Camp at Okobo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cThe Police promptly swung into action through intelligence-led operations and arrested the suspects at Ogboji in Ankpa Area and recovered 14 cows.
