{"id":2030,"date":"2021-12-09T18:07:20","date_gmt":"2021-12-09T18:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=2030"},"modified":"2021-12-09T18:07:20","modified_gmt":"2021-12-09T18:07:20","slug":"ten-persons-feared-dead-in-accident-along-itobe-anyigba-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/ten-persons-feared-dead-in-accident-along-itobe-anyigba-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Ten Persons Feared Dead in Accident along Itobe\/Anyigba Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">By Abdul Aji<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Ten people have lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident which occurred on Itobe\/Anyigba road this afternoon.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The accident which occurred at about 3:40 pm on Ajegwu bridge involved a luxury bus with registration number Anambra XE536AWK and a Toyota Hiace passenger bus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">According to the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Solomon Agure, 73 people were involved in the accident , saying that ten of them died on the spot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He said that five other persons were fatally injured with deep cut injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Agure said that the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment while the corpses were deposited at the Holy Memorial Mortuary, Ochadamu , near Anyigba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The FRSC Commander attributed the accident to overspending and possible loss of control, saying that full investigation into the incident was ongoing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Agure disclosed that obstruction caused by the accident on the ever busy road had been cleared and traffic normalcy restored.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">He said that rescue operation and clearance of the obstruction were carried out by FRSC with the support of other security agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"By Abdul Aji &nbsp; Ten people have lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident which occurred on&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[356,357],"class_list":{"0":"post-2030","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-news","7":"tag-anyigba","8":"tag-itobe"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.5 -
