{"id":12354,"date":"2024-11-15T13:18:35","date_gmt":"2024-11-15T12:18:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=12354"},"modified":"2024-11-15T13:18:35","modified_gmt":"2024-11-15T12:18:35","slug":"ful-lecturers-sexual-harassment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/ful-lecturers-sexual-harassment\/","title":{"rendered":"FUL Dismisses Four Lecturers over Sexual Harassment, Corruption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The governing council of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) in Kogi State has approved the dismissal of four lecturers over alleged sexual harassment and examination malpractice.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The council chaired by Victor Ndoma-Egba took the decision during its second meeting and appreciated the university management for following due process in the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Ndoma-Egba cautioned members of staff and lecturers against all forms of molestation, and urged students to always speak out when molested.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the council urged the university to quickly process other pending cases of misconduct, especially the trending one in the faculty of science.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the governing council of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Adamawa state, sacked two senior lecturers, Yakubu Bobboi and Toma Mbahi over allegations of victimisation and sexual harassment.<\/p>\n<p>Both lecturers were accused of harassing one C. A. Bathon, a master\u2019s degree student in their department.<\/p>\n<p>The university also terminated the appointment of Bakari Girei of the registry department for over alleged misappropriation of N1.1
