{"id":12079,"date":"2024-08-03T18:00:55","date_gmt":"2024-08-03T17:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=12079"},"modified":"2024-08-03T18:00:55","modified_gmt":"2024-08-03T17:00:55","slug":"kogi-lg-chairman-escapes-from-kidnappers-den","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/kogi-lg-chairman-escapes-from-kidnappers-den\/","title":{"rendered":"Kogi LG Chairman Escapes from kidnappers&#8217; Den"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Zaccheaus Dare Michael <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/gunmen-kidnap-local-govt-chairman-kogi\/\">who was kidnapped by gunmen,<\/a> has escaped from captivity.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dare-Michael, alongside his aides, were kidnapped on Friday by some gunmen on the Kabba-Okene road while on his way home.<\/p>\n<p>In an update, the Kogi state police command confirmed that the Chairman escaped on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming this, the Kogi Police Command\u2019s spokesman, Williams Ovye-Aya, said, \u201cII can confirm that the chairman graciously escaped from kidnappers in the early hours of Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Divisional Police Officer in Kabba has confirmed that to me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the work of God that the chairman was able to escape from his abductors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe give God the glory that he has returned to his family, hale and hearty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the same, our officers and men are already trailing the kidnappers to arrest them and rescue other people in their possessions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A family friend who spoke to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nannews.ng\">NAN<\/a> on condition of anonymity, said: \u201cI heard that the chairman is back home.
