A father resident in Anyoke community, Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, identified as Mr. Hassan Isyaka Ibori has cried out to Nigerians to come to his aid following the death of his wife shortly after delivering a set of twins.<\/p>\n

Ibori who is a farmer by profession, narrated his ordeal to journalists on Tuesday, stating that his wife, Nana-Hawa Ibori died on June 2, 2024 at a private hospital in Anyoke community.<\/p>\n
\u201cI took my wife to the hospital around 4:00 am when she wanted to give birth on 2nd of June, 2024, and she delivered a set of female twins around 7:00 am successfully.<\/p>\n
\u201cI started jubilating at the arrival of the twins, but my joy suddenly turned to sorrow when my wife died about one hour after she gave birth.<\/p>\n
\u201cShortly after the delivery, she started complaining of stomach pain and she was attended to by the nurse who gave her injection to relief the pain, but she died about one hour after.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was so painful losing my wife shortly after she gave birth to our set of twins. We never expected twins, but It is God that brought them to us, there is nothing we can do,\u201d Ibori said with tears rolling down his cheeks.<\/p>\n
He lamented the difficulties he has been going through in feeding and ensuring that the babies\u2019 nutritional needs were adequately met using formula-feed.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been God that has been helping me to feed the babies since my wife died.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am farmer. I have been using farming to take care of myself and my family, but for the past two years now the Fulani herdsmen have been destroying our farmlands without tangible harvest.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause of the destruction of our farmland, I get little or no harvest most of the time. It has not been easy for me feeding the twins as well as my other children,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Ibori, therefore, made a passionate appeal to the state government, the governor\u2019s wife, commissioner for women affairs as well as other well meaning individuals to come to his aid.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am yet to get over the shock of my wife\u2019s death, I have exhausted all my savings in taking care of the babies and I am left with nothing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am appealing to the state government through the Ministry of Women Affairs and well meaning individuals to kindly assist in taking care of the twins as I am helpless.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am pleading with our mummy, the wife of our governor, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, to come to my aid to enable me take good care of the twins.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ibori appreciated members of his community for the support they had rendered in taking care of the twins thus far.<\/p>\n
