{"id":10133,"date":"2023-11-02T17:59:34","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T16:59:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/?p=10133"},"modified":"2023-11-02T17:59:34","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T16:59:34","slug":"senator-ohere-accepts-court-judgment-as-will-of-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/senator-ohere-accepts-court-judgment-as-will-of-god\/","title":{"rendered":"Senator Ohere Accepts Court Judgment as Will of God\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The former Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Abubakar Ohere has congratulated <a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/senate-natasha-akpoti-uduaghan-as-kogi-central-senator\/\">Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan<\/a> who was sworn-in today to take over from him following an Appeal Court decision.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ebirareporters.com\/senator-ohere-to-chair-senate-committee-on-local-contents\/\">Ohere<\/a> in a statement said he accepted the judgment as the will of God even though it disappointed those who wanted his continued service at the red chamber.<\/p>\n<p>He said his short stay at the 10th Assembly was impactful and achieved remarkable feats.<\/p>\n<p>It is with deep sense of humility that I address you today on the recent development as regards the Appeal Court judgement that nullified my election as a Senator representing our Senatorial District. While this outcome may be difficult for many of you who have placed your unwavering trust and belief in my vision\/capacity for progress and development, I accept this judgement with complete submission to the will of God! I therefore congratulate the winner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the introduction of crucial motions and the proposal of impactful bills, our collective efforts have been dedicated to the betterment of Nigeria, Kogi State, and specifically the development of Kogi Central. Our commitment to touching lives through skills acquisitions, medical care, educational empowerment, and various other initiatives has left an indelible mark on our beloved community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am truly grateful for the love you have shown me and for the votes you casted in my favor. It is because of your unwavering support and belief in me that I have found the strength and determination to serve you diligently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough circumstances have led to the end of my time in the Senate, I can unequivocally say that I leave this position with a sense of profound fulfillment and satisfaction. I implore each and every one of you to embrace this spirit of fulfillment, for our journey does not end with a single setback,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for his leadership, guidance and mentorship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet us remain united as the strong and steadfast community of people that we have always been. Together, we can overcome any adversity and continue to push for the progress and prosperity of Kogi Central. Our bond transcends any political position or title; it is a testament to our shared values, dreams, and aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you, dear Kogi Central people, for your unwavering support. While my time in the Senate may have come to a close, my commitment to our community remains steadfast. Together, we will forge ahead, leaving an indomitable legacy for future generations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Ohere also urged the people to work for the governorship candidate of the All
