The political atmosphere in Kogi State has started witnessing fundamental alignments and realignments across party lines as the nation prepares for the 2023 elections.
A recent pointer to this is the reported decision of a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Shola Adedoyin to defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
It was gathered that the PDP foundation member recently declared support for the Presidential candidate of the ruling APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu after a meeting with the Secretary, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. James Faleke in Abuja.
Adedoyin, a former Special Assistant to the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, also declared support for the APC senatorial candidate for Kogi West, Sunday Karimi.
“It is time to move forward. It can only get better from here. It is Tinubu or nothing in 2023. We are winning hands down, the big journey has just begun” was quoted as saying.
