The Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Jibrin Isah Echocho has won the All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial ticket for his second term bid.

Echocho pulled 472 votes to beat his rival, Yahaya Audu , who got only 6 vote. One vote was declared invalid.

Likewise, the state Commissioner for Works, Abubakar Ohere won the ticket of the central senatorial district.

Ohere polled 260 delegates’ votes, while Ramat Tijani Atta scored 13 votes, and Dalhatu Sheriff with 11 votes. 

Meanwhile, the election in the Central witnessed a walkout by Sheriff and Atta who alleged irregularities in the process.
