Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Tuesday told Nigerians to make competence the determine of whom they shall vote to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 election.
Governor Bello stated this at a two-day national leadership summit on Peace and Security organised by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, in Nasarawa state, held in Lafia.
“The choice of who becomes the next President of Nigeria in 2023 must be on the basis of who the cap fits and not the region he or she hails from,” he said.
Bello who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku, also urged political leaders in the country to create opportunities for the youths to assume leadership positions.
